Arvin D. Cohrs, age 80 of Westbrook, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Sanford Westbrook Medical Center. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the Westbrook Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Arvin Daniel Cohrs was born December 2, 1941 in Holly Township, Murray County, Minnesota to Daniel and Lydia (Hass) Cohrs. He was baptized in May 1942 and confirmed March 25, 1956 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Rosehill Township. Arvin graduated from Tracy High School in 1959. In June of 1962, Arvin was united in marriage to Janet Caswell and their blessings, Curt and Lisa were born. Sadly, Janet passed away in August of 1977. Arvin started farming in 1972 and farmed until 2006 when he retired. He also worked at Kermit's Mechanic Shop for thirteen years, and worked part time at Klasse's. Arvin was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Arvin met Sue Christianson on a blind date, arranged by his good friend, Warren Riddell. Arvin and Sue are so very grateful to him! Sue and her son, Adam, were welcomed into the family when Arvin and Sue were married on August 19, 1978. Then in 1980, they were blessed once again with their son, Bradley to complete their blended family. Arvin enjoyed restoring cars, going to car shows, riding and racing snowmobiles in his younger years, fishing, and going up north to their lake home near Walker on Leech Lake. Arvin loved having family and friends come to visit!

Arvin is survived by his wife, Sue Cohrs; children: Curt (Erica) Cohrs, Bradley (Hillary) Cohrs, Adam (friend Paula) Gorg, Lisa (Derrick) Dahl; grandchildren: Katie (Darrin) Bebo, Mikayla Cohrs, Tyler Dahl, Devon Dahl, Levi Dahl, Natalie Cohrs, Kolt Gorg; great-grandchildren: Kinley Dahl (daughter of Tyler) and Ellie Bebo (daughter of Katie); sister-in-law Luann (Dennis) VanderPloeg; brothers-in-law: Robert Bunting, Charles Caswell, Beryl Morton, and Steve (Patty) Christianson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Lydia, first wife Janet, sisters Janice (Orland) Norstegard and Betty Morton, aunt Betty Natterstad, parents-in-law Gib and Phyllis Olson, sisters-in-law Teddy Bunting, Shirley (Vandell) Anderson and Lynda Caswell.
