Hanson Cole was born in Colesville, Broome County, New York. He was the second son of Walker Cole and Content Humiston. The Cole family moved to Litchfield, Medina County, Ohio, except for Eliza Cole. Eliza Cole married William Keech around 1831 and remained in Colesville.
According to birth records Hanson and Nancy had five children Albert in 1842, Adelia in 1845, Aaron in 1851, Willard Henry in 1854 and Abbie May in 1857. Hanson married Eurania Elizabeth Everett on 14 Mar 1858. Eurania was a graduate of Oberlin College which was founded in 1833. They had five children also.
Hanson died 1 Oct 1890 near Swan Creek, Fulton, OH, and was buried at Greenlawn cemetery. Eurania moved in with her son Charles Cole and his wife Dora Stine and their child Ina. Bertha Cole, the youngest of the Cole children also lived with them. Eurania died in Berea, Cuyahoga, Ohio on 26 Dec 1908.
