Marvin H Chandler of Bassenger Passes Away at Bay Pines

Marvin H Chandler, 50, of Bassenger, passed away at Bay Pines Hospital July 2. He was born in Bassenger March 23, 1895. funeral services were held in the Bassenger cemetery Friday, July 6, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, conducted by Rev. Marion Martin of Okeechobee, Stephens Funeral Home of Sebring was in charge. Pallbearers were A R Roebuck of West Palm Beach, Curtis Wright and LaRue Chandler of Okeechobee, Henry Sloan of Bassenger, Sol McClelland and Bill Germaine of Sebring. He is survived by his wife Della; three daughters, his mother, Ada, wife of the late Willis W Chandler; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Holmes of Fort Pierce; Mrs; A R Roebuck of West Palm Beach; Mrs Anna Williams of Cornwell; Mrs Alice Germaine, of Sebring, and three brothers, Grover and Alton, of Bassenger, and John of Okeechobee, and a host of friends. He served in the armed forces of World War I and was employed by John Audubon Society, as warden for many years. (Re: Diane Bryan)
