Allie Bea Fannin Buie, age 100, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born on July 31, 1922, in McDonough, Georgia to the late Joseph Cloud Fannin and Hattie Partain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Douglas Buie; two sons, George Douglas Buie Jr. and Dennis Holmes Buie; three siblings, Annie Lou Crumbley, Joseph Lincoln Fannin, and Willie Pearl Fannin. Ms. Buie is survived by her children, Leslie Drew (Pam) Buie and Dee Buie (Mark) Minter; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022, beginning 11:00 AM at Flippen United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3707 Jodeco Road, McDonough, GA 30253. Rev. Ken Huff will officiate the service. Those who are able should park at the church and cross the street into the cemetery. A small reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Flippen United Methodist Church by mailing a check to 3707 Jodeco Road, McDonough, GA 30253.
