OBITUARY: Funeral services for Allen Crocker were held Friday afternoon, August 17, 1973, at the First Baptist Church, in Gotebo, with Rev. Calvin Eason of Fairview and Rev. Jim Burkett, local pastor, officiating.
James Allen Crocker was born October 17, 1910, at Gotebo and died August 15, 1973, of an apparent heart attack.
Allen married Lillie Elizabeth Irvin. Crocker was a life long resident of this community. He was a member of the Gotebo American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie, of the home; one brother, Alfred Crocker of Gotebo and three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Cassel of Norman, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nellie Limerick of Lawton, Oklahoma; and Miss Mary Crocker of Bedford, New York along with many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Jim Shepherd, Tom Shepherd, Elmer Bruton, Harold Ellis, Bob Vickery, and G.D. Adams.
Burial was in Gotebo Cemetery, Gotebo, Kiowa County, Oklahoma.
