Mr. James Thurmond Gaston, 70, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his home. All services will be private.
Mr. Gaston was born April 17, 1952 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Ellie Gaston and Gracie Spence Gaston. He attended the schools of Chester County and retired from Springs Industries Katherine Plant after more than 30 years of service. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and a master storyteller.
He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Audrey Gaston; one son, James "Matt" Gaston (Jennifer) of Chester; two daughters, Emily Ann Gaston (Dartagnan Manzano) of Chester and Jimmie Lee Talley of Rock Hill; five grandchildren, Cody, Egypt, Davonta, Heather and Devon; three step grandchildren, Renee, Aleisha and Ashley; one sister, Barbara Reed (Wayne) of Lancaster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
