Howard G. Preston, age 88, of Pensacola, FL, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008. Howard G. Preston was born in Montfort, Wisconsin on March 29, 1919. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy, and retired Civil Service Employee of the Naval Air Base.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Adela Ann; two sons, John G. Preston of Center, TX, and Larry M. Preston of Pensacola, FL; a daughter, Jo Ann Whittlesey of Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Burial followed in Barrancas National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John G. Preston, Larry M. Preston, Michael Preston, Jimmy Phetteplace, Ed Whittlesey, and Ed Phetteplace.
