She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Sue Joiner; two sisters, Ruth Reed and Mabelene Gipson; and two grandchildren, Chantell Cline and Billy Joiner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Albert and Disa Ellen Long Gipson; her husband, John Woodrow Ross; and four brothers.
