Mrs. Whitney, 48, died Thursday in the Lake Chelan Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Pomeroy, March 14, 1908, Mrs. Whitney was married to Verne Whitney August 30, 1929, in Columbus, Montana. The family moved to Manson area 10 years ago. At the time of her death Mrs. Whitney was employed as nurses aid at Lake Chelan Community Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Verne Whitney of Manson; seven children, Lynda, Karen and Louise Whitney, all at home, Mrs. Ralph Overton in Colorado, Mrs. Don Bennett in Florida, Robert Whitney in the US Air Force, and Gene Whitney of Manson; two brothers, two sisters and six grandchildren.
Interment was in the Fraternal Cemetery.
