Mr. Thorson was born Feb. 8, 1889, at Grafton, N.D., and moved to Niehart, Mont., with his family at an early age. The family later homesteaded at Belt, Mont., where Mr. Thorson had also worked in the mines.
In 1941, Mr. Thorson was married to Nell Elliott at Seattle. Following their marriage, they lived at Chelan until 1946, when they moved to Belt, Mont. They returned to Chelan in 1953 and Mr. Thorson owned and operated a plumbing business here until his retirement in 1965.
Surviving are his wife, Nell, at home; a daughter, Doris Ranta, Seattle, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
