It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Jean Hite of Mesa, Arizona, after her long battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. She left her earthly home for Heaven on September 4th, 2022, at the age of 88 years young. Phyllis was proceeded in death by her late husband, Harold Eugene Hite and parents Isabel and Charles Morris; as well as her stepmother, Carrie Morris. Even though there is sadness in her passing, we take joy in knowing they are once again together. Phyllis was born in Wabash, IN to Isabel Marie Teusch and Charles Emerson Morris on February 15,1934. As she always said, "One day away from being a sweet-heart". She grew up in Huntington, Indiana- which is where she met Harold at their local high school. She leaves behind her daughter; Laura Ann (James Ray) Neil, granddaughter; Melissa Rae (Phillip James) Allred and great-grandson Logan James Allred. She also leaves behind a younger brother, Richard Charles Morris and his children, Julie and Scott. Phyllis also leaves behind her younger sister Kaaren Hermina Southerland, her daughter Lynn and grandson Maxwell. Phyllis loved the arts, and even had some accomplished works. She was a woman who loved worshiping her savior, Jesus Christ and even donated her time at her church as a greeter, praise dancer and Sunday school teacher. Other passions include caring for animals, collecting antiques and journaling. She was a unique woman who danced to her own beat that will be greatly missed by those who love her.
