Zella married Virgil W. Roberts, a Methodist minister. They had four children. The child not mentioned in the bio is Donda L. Roberts (b. 1906).
For the seven years prior to her death, Zella and Virgil were residents of 471 Baughman St., Claremont, California.
Zella Rebecca Roberts passed away on September 9, 1965, in Los Angeles, California. She is survived by 2 daughters: Fonda Lelia Roberts and Flora Fern Smith (1892-1976); 2 brothers: Clarence Overton of DelMar, California; and Worth Overton of Knoxville, Iowa; and 2 sisters, Claudia Belle Roberts of Knoxville, Iowa; and Lina Leona Woody of Pleasantville, Iowa. She was predeceased by her parents, by her son, Dwight Fulton Roberts; and by her siblings Lulu, Sylvia, Mabel I., and Isaac Wesley Overton.
Funeral services and interment were held on September 14, 1965, in Pomona, California.
