David Lee Bomberger, 64, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.

David Lee Bomberger, 64, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Sept. 21, 2022, in Albuquerque. David was born on Oct. 27, 1957, in North Platte, to Bill and Norma (Ogier) Bomberger. He joined the USAF in 1976 after graduating from North Platte High School. Early in his military career, he was stationed in Japan. While there, he met his wife Machiko. They were married on July 12, 1985, in Tokyo and later moved back to the U.S. David was stationed at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico and later at Sheppard AFB in Texas. MSGT David retired from active duty on April 30, 1997, while stationed at Sheppard AFB. He returned to Albuquerque and continued to work for the USAF as a civilian at Kirtland AFB until Jan. 1, 2020. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bill and Norma; his brother, William Bomberger; and nephew, Christopher Botsford.
Memorial service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Trippett officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
