First child born to Jonathan and Elizabeth Byrd Burleson after they moved from Tennessee to Alabama. Jane would marry Armstead Payne in Morgan County in July of 1835 (according to Morgan County records however Armstead's Bible shows marriage date as Feb 8, 1835) where their first son William Byrd Payne was born 4 months later. He would pass away less than a month later. Three more children were born to the couple before Jane passed away. It is believed the couple would move first to Franklin County, Alabama and then on to Mississippi.
