100 YEAR-OLD WOMAN DIES AT MILLICAN

MRS. ELLEN THOMPSON,BORN IN JANUARY, 1826, PASSES AWAY TODAY

MANY RELATIVES

DECEDENT SURVIVED BY 15 GRANDCHILDREN,LIVED HERE 60 YEARS

Mrs. Ellen Thompson, aged 100 years, 8 months and 23 days, died at Millican, near Bryan, at 12:30 o'clock Friday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Steep Hollow church Friday afternoon at 2;30, conducted by Rev. J. J. Pipkin. Burial will be at Steep Hollow cemetery, under the direction of the McCullouch-Gordon Company.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Alabama January 22, 1826, and came to Texas in 1851. She had been a resident of Brazos county for 60 years, and for the past six years had made her home with her grandson, J. I. Sawyer, of Millican.

Decedent is survived by three sons, D. E. Thompson of Bryan, J. S. Thompson of Steep Hollow, and W. R. Thompson of Plainview, one daughter, Mrs. A. E. Sawyer of Millican; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
