Cecile I. Hachez , 83, formerly of Legion Way, a former maintenance worker, died Friday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph Hachez .
Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lucia (Chartre) Fontaine, she lived in Cranston for 40 years.
Mrs. Hachez worked five years for the Cranston School Department before retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Cranston Senior Multipurpose Center.
She leaves a son, Ralph P. Hachez of Warwick; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hebert of Coventry and Mrs. Elizabeth Shogren of Cranston; two brothers, Joseph F. Fontaine of Coventry, Hector L. Fontaine of West Warwick, and four granddaughters.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from The Butterfield Chapel, 500 Pontiac Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Church, Main Avenue, Warwick, at 10. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, West Warwick.
