Services for Walter G. Finley, 74, were at 11 a.m. today, March 1, 2001, at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with the Rev. Buck Buchanan officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Finley was born April 26, 1926, at Lone Grove, to John and Sara Talley Finley. He died Feb. 25, 2001, in Ardmore.
A lifetime resident of this area, he worked for Cashway Lumber Company 30 years and at County Builders Supply 10 years before he retired. He was a member of Provence Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Suzy Hartsell and her husband, Bobby, and Patricia Graham; and son, Edward Gene Finley, all of Lone Grove; two brothers, Charles of Richland, Wash., and Ed of Lone Grove; a sister, Katherine Finley of Ardmore; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bearers were Charlie Taliaferro, Ray Blevins, Wesley Deck, Reecie Holliman, David Bumpass and Randy Montgomery.
