Sarah E. Montgomery, 57
Sarah E. Montgomery, 57, president of the Southeast Civic Association in 1969, died of cancer Friday in George Washington University Hospital. She lived on D Street SE.
Mrs. Montgomory, a native of North Carolina, studied tailoring and had received nurses'aid training. In 1970 and 1971 she worked with the hypertension program at Georgetown University Hospital. She lived here for 32 years.
She was active in beautification and health programs in her neighborhood and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She leaves her husband, Rendrick B.; her mother, and Henry F. Horne, of Washington, and two sisters, Mrs. Bernice V. Jordan of Washington and Mrs. Gladys M. Saddler of Newport News, Va. Services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 13th Street and North Carolina Avenue NE, with burial in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Confirmed Sarah and her husband Rendrick is buried here. Called the office on Sep. 27, 2022. Confirmed there is one marker. The person I talked with said she didn't know if both names were on the marker.
