Arthur W Gaston 89 of Knoxville, Tn restfully passed away September 15, 2022, at Trinity Hills Assisted Living Center (Knoxville Tn).

Arthur was born in Athens, Ga to the late Corn Willis (Knoxville, Tn) and Rose Gaston (Athens, Ga) on March 1st, 1934. Arthur enlisted in the USAF Reserve and received an Honorable Discharge in 1956. In 1956, Arthur attended Knoxville College there he met and married the late Ruth Bennett (Gaston). Arthur and Ruth had two children the late Kandus Ruth Gaston (Reese) and Arthur Letour Gaston. Arthur has two grandchildren Wesley Taj Reese (Greyslake, IL) and Mykeltie Tynee Shultz (Denver, Co) & 4 Great Grandchildren. Arthur has a surviving sister Peggy Lester (Athens, Ga). Arthur has cousins and many family & friends in Athens, Ga and Knoxville, Tn. Arthur retired from TVA, Knox County Schools, The YMCA and The East Tennessee Boys and Girls Club. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and Greater Werner Baptist Church of Knoxville, TN. Arthur loved working with young people. Arthur spent decades involved with East Knoxville's youth through sports programs, Sunday School teacher and as a Asst. Teacher at (Maynard, Fair Garden & Sarah Moore Green Schools). Arthur was a dedicated father, mentor, trusted friend to many and a GOOD MAN!!
