Lynette I. Meier, 47, of Durand, died April 15, 1999 at home in rural Durand. Lynette was born April 24, 1 951 . Lynette was the daughter of LaVern and Donna (Westberg) Tulip. She was born in Durand and grew up in Pepin. She graduated from Pepin High School. She attended and graduated from UW-Stout in Menomonie. She taught Home Economics at Arcadia High School and later at Wabasha Kellogg High School. She later was the Price County Home Economist. She has been employed at UW-Stout since the late 1970s. Lynette married Lloyd "Mike" Jahnke September 19, 1970. Her husband "Mike" passed away in 1974. She married Henry Meier January 30, 1978. Lynette is survived by her husband Henry, one daughter, Melissa, one son Matt, both at home, her mother Donna Tulip of Pepin, two sisters; Linda Lerum of Pepin and Rhonda Clare of Hay ward, two brother; Donald Tulip and Thomas Tulip, both of Pepin, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Jahnke and her father, LaVern Tulip. Funeral services will be 1 1 :00 AM Monday April 19, 1999 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pepin. Rev. Maynard Larson will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Pepin. Friends may call 4 to 8 PM Sunday at the Rhiel Funeral Home, Durand, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
