Josephine Lee Wade Long, 82, of Trinity, NC passed away Monday September 19, 2022 at her daughter's residence in Conover.
She was born July 19, 1940 in Smyth County, Virginia the daughter of the late Leonard Braxton Wade and Josey Pearl Cornette Wade.
She was a Christian and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Long and other family members.
She is survived by:
Daughters: Sharon Martin and husband, Jack of Trinity NC; Barbara Smith and husband, Scott of Conover; Nancy and Ronald Garner of Conover; Robin Schaeffer and husband, Cordell of Randallman, NC
Son: Robert "Buck" Long, Jr of Conover
Brother: Harold "J.B." Wade of Tennessee
Special daughter: Sharon Lee of Conover
Mom was loved by a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton with Pastor Daniel Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in the Conover City Cemetery.
