Dannebrog – Anna M. Anderson, 80, of Dannebrog died Saturday at a Grand Island hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog. The body will lay in state from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Irvin Briese will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Dannebrog.
There will be no visitation. Jacobsen Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Dannebrog Fire Department.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 6, 1903, at Green River, Wyo., the daughter of Lawrence and Minnie Christensen Melsen. In 1910 the family moved to the Dannebrog area, where she grew up and received her education.
On July 9, 1925, she married Bernard Anderson at Grand Island. They farmed in the Boelus-Dannebrog area for several years, moving into Dannebrog in 1949, where he worked for the creamery. Mr. Anderson died in August 1981.
Survivors include a son, Eugene of Dannebrog; a daughter, Mrs. Clem (Arlene) Fredrick of Grand Island; two sisters, Fay Melsen of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. M. E. (Mildred) McIntosh of Casper, Wyo., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
