Forrest (Donnie) D. Gilmore, 71 of Everton, passed away, August 31, 2022. Donnie was born in Miller, Missouri on December 24, 1950, to Forrest Ray and Maggie Belle (Mayes) Gilmore.

Donnie loved his country and faithfully served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Upon his return home, he worked in various trades, including the oil fields of Oklahoma and for 14 years as an explosive blaster for ETI. Donnie had a love of good food and travel, so he found his passion when he began his career as a truck driver. He took great pride in the 17 years he spent with Daniel Trucking. Through the years he learned all the good restaurants between here and California. Donnie enjoyed classic cars and antiques. Above all else, he adored his family, and they were his whole world. He never missed an opportunity to praise or show pictures of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Donnie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved him.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Paul Ray and Laura Jane (Heaton) Gilmore and brother, Joseph (Tubb) Gilmore.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time, Monday, September 12, 2022, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Memorial services will begin at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with inurnment to follow at Liberty Cemetery, Everton, MO.
