Doris is survived by her sister, Barbara Thewlis Robbins of Peoria, IL.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Helen (Stannard) Thewlis, and father, Robert Thewlis.
She was an administrative assistant for Caterpillar for 30+ years, before retiring. Doris graduated from Washington High School in Washington, IL, and attended Western Illinois University. In her younger years, she enjoyed painting, singing, and writing, especially poetry, shopping, and taking adult education courses. Doris volunteered a few times for various charities, and she was an active member of the Belles of Harmony singing group.
Doris will have a private graveside service at Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka, IL, and be buried alongside her mother and father.
