"Isaac Sefton, one of our widely known and highly respected citizens, passed away in death at his home on North Franklin street at 12:30 this morning. He had been in declining health for the past two years and the end was not unexpected. The funeral will be conducted at the home at 10 o'clock Thursday morning by Rev. J. H. Doddridge of the First M. E. Church of which the deceased was a member for many years.

"He was a son of William and Catherine Shuck Sefton, and was born in Butler county, Ohio, in 1837. The family moved to this county when Isaac was only a year old and settled on the farm one mile southwest of Springhill where he grew to manhood and later this was his home for many years.

"On Oct. 25, 1865 he was married to Mary E. Miers of Clay township, who, with the two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Katie) Robbins and Mrs. Will H. (Cora) Robbins and four grand-children, survives.

"From the date of his marriage in 1865 until 1886, Mr. Sefton was a successful farmer in the Spring Hill district and by industry and frugality, became one of the wealthy men of the community. Thirty years ago he retired to this city to take life easy and to better educate his children.

"Mr. Sefton was an honest, reliable, respected citizen and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. kind husband and an indulgent father tells the true story of his life. Isaac Sefton was a good man and a fine citizen and as such will be greatly missed in the community where he had lived so long."
