On June 1929 she married Edward C. Rinck,M.D., a U.S. Public Health Service physician. Their only child William was born in 1934. The three of them lived in Stuttgart, Germany 1936-1939, where her husband worked in the U.S. Consulate. They also lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, California, Texas, and Indiana.
Alma attended art school in Florida & Pennsylvania. She was known for her art work in Nevada, MO.
She had memberships in the First Christian Church of Nevada, Domestic Science Club M.F.W.C., Order of the Eastern Star, Osage Valley Fine Art Guild, Bushwacker Museum and the Nevada Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Maybelle Cook, and her brother, Harold J. Doughty.
