John Arnaud Fraser was born in Bolton, England and resided with his mother, father, and four siblings in the greater Liverpool area. During WWI, he served his country in the Royal Air Force as a mechanic. Shortly after the war, he left England for the United States for employment with the Otis Elevator Company. He married Mary Lillig, a nurse 18 years his junior, in 1942. Their union produced one son, John in 1945. After suffering a heart attack and cutting back on his work duties, he retired from Otis in 1960. He also enjoyed smoking and reading the newspaper. He owned a DeSoto. Along with his family, he enjoyed visiting his brother in rural Berks County, PA. Prior to his death from heart failure, he got to meet two of his four grandsons.
