Art was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he served in the European Theater. He served as the Vice President & General Superintendent for Cohen Construction before his retirement. He is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife; Ada Sanders Slaton, brother; Ray Slaton, sisters; Faye Crosswhite & Evon Prewett and nephews; Gordon Crosswhite and Larry Vaughn Sanders.
