Thomas E. Clark

Funeral services were held November 2, at the Red Hill Baptist Church for Thomas E. Clark who passed away November 1 at his home near Bellefontaine. The Rev. Will Hicks of Bellefontaine conducted the services. The Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Red Hill cemetery.

Mr. Clark was born in Webster County on February 27, 1873. He married the former Miss Rossie Lee Stewart who preceded him in death in 1940. He was a member of the North Union Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Delphie Masonic Lodge No. 173 and F. & A. M. member of New Harmony Old Sacred Harp Singers.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. G. Abel of Grenada and Mrs. J. E. Caffey, Rosedale, and five sons, James H. Clark, Memphis, J. M. Clark, Chicago, Ernest Clark and T. E. Clark, Jr., both of Eupora, and Sim S. Clark, Clarksdale. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Rosa Jordan, Sweatman, one brother, S. W. Clark, Eupora, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
