Norma Jean Edwards was 92 years of age at the time of her passing. She passed in her sleep on September 7, 2022, at St. Anthony Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She resided in Del City, Oklahoma for more than 60 years.
Norma Jean Edwards, born Norma Jean Nesmith August 19, 1930, in a farmhouse in Little, Oklahoma. Her Parents, Mary Esther and Marvin Audie Nesmith were proud to have a healthy girl. She was the baby of the family consisting of her siblings, Theron, Bonnie, and Deola.
In the late 1940's she moved to Oklahoma City to become a beautician, one of her dreams. While studying at The Beauty College she met Harry Edwards and was married in January 1950. Daughter Enita Edwards was born on December 28, 1950, followed by Debra born November 22,1957 and Ernie born December 2, 1958.
She spent the rest of her full life doing hair, taking care of family, and becoming Mom to all the "Ball Boys" as she called them. She was married to Harry Edwards 72 years; they had a loving devotion to each other. He misses her dearly, as do we all.
She was proceeded in death by Parents Mary and Marvin Nesmith, siblings Theron, Bonnie and Deola Carley, daughter Enita Edwards Brewer, great grandchildren Cole Parker Edwards and Owen Edwards.
