SOUTH SCHODACK Sylvia Catallo Spring, 97, of Bame Rd. passed away peacefully Wednesday September 7, 2022 at Schuyler Ridge Health Care Center. Born in Waterford she was the daughter of the late Michael and Maria Merolle Catallo. She was a 1943 graduate of Waterford High School.

Sylvia was a passionate gardener and, for many years, took pride in taking care of the family orchard on Fonda Rd and providing apples to the Waterford community.

She was the wife of the late William T. Spring Jr. who died in 1991. She is the devoted mother of Karen Spring of Middleton, MA and William J. Spring of Schodack. She is the sister of Thomas Catallo of Waterford, Leona Belrose of Clermont, FL, the late Concetta Ibbott and Eva Clemons. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer Lyons (Drew), Nate Lawrence (Denise), Justin, Mindy and Daniel Spring and great grandmother of Austin and Taylor Lawrence and Leo Lyons.

A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 119 Broad St., Waterford. Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Rensselaer.
