Clara Rachael Ohlsen was born Jan. 24, 1902, the daughter of Henry and Laura Ohlsen, in Springfield, Minn., where she attended school. She attended teachers college in Kasson, Minn. After she married Glen McDonald June 5, 1927, in St. Paul, they lived in Fargo and Towne, N.D., while she taught in Orrin, N.D. They moved in 1939 to Larimore, where they operated the bowling alley and the A&M Locker Plant until Glen McDonald died March 28, 1966. She moved to the Larimore Good Samaritan Center in July 1991.
