SERVICES ARE SET FOR MILLHOUSEN FARMER, 72
Adam J Hessler, 72, a widely known farmer of the Millhousen community for many years, died at the Madison hospital at 6:15 p.m. Monday. He had been in declining health for several years and was seriously ill for the past five months.
Born in the Millhousen community on Feb 27, 1875, he was the son of Adam and Catherine Stahl Hessler. Throughout his life he had engaged in farming near Millhousen. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic church at Millhousen.
His marriage to Ida Wagner took place at Napoleon on Oct 5, 1897.
The survivors are: The widow, Mrs Ida Hessler, of near Millhousen; a daughter, Mrs John (Anna) Dwenger, of Millhousen; and a brother, Andrew Hessler, of Westport. He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews. A sister and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral rites will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Millhousen Catholic church. The Rev Carl E Riebenthaler will officiate. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Oliger funeral home Tuesday evening and at the late residence, one mile northwest of Millhousen after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
