Carl Thomas Smith, 71, of Columbia, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Baxter Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Southall officiating.
Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 am-noon Saturday at the funeral home.
He was a native of Spring Hill and the son of Mary Alice Wade Smith and the late William T. Smith. He attended Maury County schools and was employed with Lasko and David Lipscomb College. He was a farmer and a member of Beech Grove P.B. Church.
He was also preceded in death by his son Carl Smith Jr.; and sister Rosetta Cleveland.
Survivors include his wife Jane G. Smith; daughters Teresa, Stephanie, Margaret, Cheryl and Treia Smith and Tracy Copeland; brothers James Smith, Harry Smith, Larry Smith and Danny Smith; sisters Janie May Clark, Charlene Alderson and Sharon Locke; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
