Obituary for Guy Henry Foltz

Guy Henry Foltz, 67, died peacefully at home on Aug. 29, 2022.

Guy was born on Nov. 12, 1954, to Catha (Taylor) and Allen Foltz in Siren, Wisconsin.

He lived in Frederic, Wisconsin, for most of his life, also living in Webster and for a short time in Colorado, where he graduated from eighth grade. His family moved back to Frederic, where Guy graduated from Frederic High School in 1973.

Guy worked in various occupations over the years, as an auto mechanic at Young and Rich, a fuel delivery driver for Frederic Farmers Union, and working with his grandfather and father on wells. He is most known for his custom woodworking and as an agent for Luck Mutual Insurance.

Guy enjoyed meeting and talking to people from all walks of life. He always had a story to tell. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could.

He met and married his wife, Carolyn, in 1977. They were married for 45 years and had one son.

Guy enjoyed working with young people in 4-H woodworking projects, and was the superintendent of the woodworking building at the Polk County Fair for many years.

Guy is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Guy (Jenna); and grandchildren, Austin and Kyla; mother, Catha; and brother, Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen; and brother, Floyd.
