Uncle Shorty— he was definitely a character, some of my fondest memories are of this man. He had a swagger that nobody could reproduce. As a young child he taught me what an uncle should be like. This one time we were visiting from Tennessee and he gave us a whole bunch of bicycles to take back home that he gotten from somewhere. They were like name brand older bikes but in excellent condition and he made sure that anything that wasn't tiptop shape he fixed it. I thought I was the coolest kid in town. He let me pick out whatever bike I wanted, even the seat everything, he fixed it up and made sure it was ripping and roaring. I only wish I had him in my adult life.
