He was a son of the late Martin L. and Irene Poole Shuffler and a member of Evangelical Lutheran church and also a member of Loyal Order of Moose 371 and of the United Steam Fire Engine Company 3. Mr. Shuffler was foreman at Hershberger's Bakery for a number of years, later being employed by the Ox Fibre Brush Company as a shaper for 35 years having retired April, 1956 due to ill health.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Katherine Crawford Shuffler; one son, Irving L. Shuffler, Jr., Chambersburg, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Blanche R. Myers, New Market; six grandchildren, Janet Michael, this city; Shirley Simpson, Charles F. Hahn Jr., both of Araby; Douglas Shuffler, Juan Shuffler and Thomas Shuffler, all of Chambersburg; one great granddaughter, Donna Lee Simpson, Araby.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
