Oscar Thaddeus Lide (spelled "Ausker" in cemetery records) was the infant son of Joseph T Lide (1850- abt 1890) and his wife Kate "Kittie" Ayers Lide Jerman Barge (1869-1946). Episcopal records list Oscar's private baptism on 26 April 1887 in Birmingham with the note "child sick." Baby Oscar died less than two months later. He was buried in the Lide plot of Oak Hill Cemetery along with his grandmother, Caroline J Lide, three infant cousins born to Fred and Daisy (Lide) Worrall, cousin Grace Lide Melton, aunt Rebecca Lide and cousin Frank Lide. Oscar's grave has no headstone. The plot can be identified by the headstone of Frank W Lide and the brick tomb of Grace Lide melton.
