Virginia "Ginger" peacefully transitioned to eternal life after a long and successful battle with throat cancer and treatment. Her death was due to long term complications she endured from the cancer and treatments. She is finally at peace.

Ginger was a beautiful, and free spirit. She was extremely creative, a giving and compassionate person, a voracious reader, and an exceptional athlete in her day, She attended Upland High School and graduated from Bonita High School.

She was active in high school sports competing in several, including volleyball and basketball. For decades she could be found playing beach volleyball in Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches, playing in the early professional leagues.

She taught Arts and Crafts for the City of Upland for several years with her sister. She created numerous artistic designs, mosaics, paintings, interior design in her home. Her home was a wonderous collection of curious, exquisite, and whimsical design. She was a gracious hostess that loved to cook for her friends and family. It was her special gift to those she loved.

Ginger is survived by her son who she loved immeasurably, Conor Carson Foley, her loving husband, Paul Edward Foley, her siblings: Laurie Catherine Angel, twin brothers: Peter Howard Angel (wife, Miriam Xavier) and Edward Carson Angel; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Craig Howard Angel and mother Virginia "Kit" Vargo (Potts, Wright).

A private gathering will be held in October to celebrate Ginger's life. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, encouragement, and kindness. We wish to acknowledge the wonderful, compassionate doctors and nurses at Little Company of Mary and the City of Hope.
