Mr. Steedley was a native of Alma, Georgia, having made North Augusta his home for the past 63 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Stillwell Sunday School Class, served as an Usher and was a former Scoutmaster with Troop 7. Mr. Steedley was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and retired from International Paper Corporation. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan Day Steedley and a son, Al Steedley.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Mindy Steedley, North Augusta; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Steedley Bell, North Augusta; three grandchildren, Alex S. (Andrew) Oliver, Aaron Steedley and Evan Steedley; two great grandchildren, Lucas Oliver and Lilly Grace Oliver.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Stillwell Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6.
