Helen, known affectionately as "Bris" by her many friends in her younger life, graduated from the James Morris High School in Morris, Connecticut in 1942, where she played basketball. She was a retired Registered Nurse, a graduate of the Waterbury Hospital School for Nurses in 1945, and was a member of the Alumni Association. She worked in the Waterbury Hospital Health Center for 36 years and worked as a private duty nurse, as well. She also had been a member of the Bodian-Weik-Skilton American Legion Auxiliary.
Helen was a very independent lady, was very proud of her nursing career, and liked to make her own decisions almost to the end. It was Helen's wish that there be no services. Her cremation remains will be buried in the East Morris Cemetery.
