Daniel G. Butz February 11, 1929 - December 20, 2004
Daniel G. Butz, 75, of Elizabethtown,Pa. formerly of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., died Monday, December 20,2004 at the Masonic Village. He was born February 11, 1929 in Cressona, Pa., a son to the late William and Dorothy Brown Butz. Mr. Butz is survived by nephew, Geoffrey N. Butz of Spring Mills; neice, Susan Deibler of Vine Grove, Ky and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Butz of Palmyra, Pa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Willene S. Cake and a brother Robert W. Butz. Mr Butz was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Schuylkill Haven, graduated from Williamson Trade School 1949; Pennsylvania State University 1958 and 1963; Page Lodge Free Masonry of Schuylkill Haven; Williamson School Alumni Association; Korean War Veterans Association, American Vocational Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Army Lieutenant during the Korean War. He was retired from the Bureau of Vocational Education, Pennsylvania Department of Education in 1989; a former school teacher at Bellefonte High School and Principal of Schuylkill County Vocational Technical School in Frackville, Pa. Graveside Serviced will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Schuylkill Haven Memorial Park.
