Billy Wimford Adamson, 70, of the Bethel Community, went to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Sunday, August 28th. Billy was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era and was proud to have served his country. He was fortunate to have traveled all over the country and have multiple careers before settling down in Haywood County. Billy was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir.

Billy was proceeded in death by his parents, William Edgar Adamson and Peggy Jean Reynolds Summers and two sisters, Jean Belcher and Lydia Brown.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Frances DeBord Adamson, are his son Nathanial (Tammy) Adamson, daughter, Billie Jo (Shawn) Adamson, three sisters; Susan Vradenburg, Vivian (Ronnie) Vradenburg, and Myra Summers; seven grandchildren; Carissa, Raven, Kaylee, Vanessa, Alia, Summer and Victoria, along with two great-grandchildren, Cloe and Ryder.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 31st at 2:00 p.m at the Bethel Community Cemetery, with Dr. Roy Kilby officiating.
