Hershel M. Benson, 84, died Sept. 1, 1993, in a nursing home in Pittsburg, Kan., where he lived.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Bath-Naylor Chapel, Weir, Kan.; burial in Hosey Hill Cemetery, Weir.
Mr. Benson was born in Pittsburg and lived in Cherokee from 1928 until he returned to Pittsburg in 1988.
He was a pipe fitter, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Local 533 of the Pipe Fitters Association.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kruger Benson of the home; two sons, William Benson, Kansas City, Kan., and James Benson, Manhattan, Kan.; a daughter, Ruth Lane, Cherokee; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
