Simon was the son of Dolor Davis and Margery Willard. Simon was a lieutenant, representative, and otherwise distinguished, m. Mary, dau. of James Blood, 1660, d. June 14, 1713, a. 77; and had Simon, Mary, Sarah, James, Ellen, Ebenezer, and Hannah. (History of Concord)

Parents: Dolar Davis was in Cambridge 1634, went to Concord about 1659, d. 1673. He m. Margery b. about 1602, sister of Maj. Simon Willard. (Littleton Records)
Simon Davis, the eldest son of Dolor Davis and Margery Willard was born in "New Towne" Plymouth Colony (present day Cambridge, Middesex, Massachusetts) in 1636.
Mary Blood, the daughter of James and Eleanor (Harrison) Blood was born in Concord, Massachusetts on July 12, 1640. They were married on December 12, 1660 in Concord, and settled there on a farm given to him by his father, situated near his father's homestead.
In 1675 he was appointed command of the troops defending the garrison at Brookfield, Massachusetts; Captain Wheeler having been wounded. Battle of Brookfield was a part of the King Phillips War 1675-1677. He received his commission as lieutenant, July 2, 1689. He was admitted a freeman, March 21, 1699.
In the publication "A History of the Town of Concord, Middesex County, Massachusetts" he appears as Constable Simon Davis on March 31,1680. In 1689, 1690, 1692 and 1705 his name also appears under the heading of Deputies and Representartives from the first Settlement of the Town.
Simon and Mary had seven children, all born in Concord, MA as follows:
Simon Jr, born 12 OCT 1661 settled in Concord and was one of the distinguished physicians of his day. Dr. Davis married Elizabeth Woodhouse on 14 FEB 1680. They had eight children.
Mary, born 3 OCT 1663. Married Deliverance Wheeler of Stow on 28 MAY 1691 where they settled.
Sarah, born 11 MAR 1665. Married Thomas Wheeler of Concord on 13 NOV 1695.
James, born 19 JUN 1668. Married Ann Smedley in 1701. James and Ann had eight children. James died 16 Sep 1727. Ann JUN 1760.
Elener, born 22 OCT 1672. Married Samuel Hunt in Concord on 14 MAY 1669. They had at least one child.
Ebenesar (Ebenezer), born 1 JUN 1676. Married Dinnah Browne on 14 FEB 1700 in Chelmsford, MA. They had seven children. Ebenezer died 31 MAR 1753 in Harvard, MA.
Hannah, born 1 APR 1679. Married Smauel Blood 1 APR 1701 in Concord, MA.
