Luther B. Ledbetter, 55, assistant supervisor of male employes at Stockton State Hospital, died in St. Joseph's Hospital late yesterday after an illness of about eight months. He was in the hospital five weeks. Burial will be in Park View Cemetery Monday.
A native of Alabama, Ledbetter was an employe of the state almost 30 years. He is survived by his widow, Louise B. Ledbetter of 517 E. Flora, and a daughter, Mrs. Alberta L. Ladd, Stockton. Also surviving are five brothers and two sisters, Bob Ledbetter of San Bernardino; Oscar Ledbetter of Gardena; Columbus Ledbetter of Grand Saline, Tex.; Sherman P. Ledbetter of Bellflower; Cecil Ledbetter and Mrs. Ballie Kinsey of Tyler, Tex., and Mrs. Beedie Richardson of Louisville, Tenn.
