Nancy Esley, 71, of Perch Lake Rd., passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Samaritan-Keep Nursing Home where she had resided for the past five years.

Born on May 12 1944 in Laconia, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of F. Walter and Nora Davis Burrows of Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.

Nancy married Rodney Esley on June 21, 1969 in Pamelia, NY.

Mrs. Esley had education degrees from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and St. Lawrence University. She was a business teacher at Watertown High School from 1969 to 1999.

She enjoyed crocheting and doing genealogy research. She volunteered in the Genealogy Department at Flower Memorial Library,

Survivors include her husband Rodney of Evans Mills; a daughter Sharon Horning (Dana) of Theresa, son Brian Esley (Jennifer) of New Hartford and grandchildren Fox and Stone Richardson, Ralph Horning, James, Leah, and Nathan Esley.

Her parents and a brother, Peter Burrows died before her.

Memorial donations may be made to the Northern New York Community Foundation, 120 Washington Street, Watertown, New York 13601.

Burial will be in a private cemetery on the family farm at a later date. Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa, NY.
