The death of Abraham S. Kissinger, 340 Pearl, on Sunday evening, was very sudden. Mr. Kissinger had not been feeling well and told his family that he could go to see Dr. E. Z. Schmucker to get some medicine. He left the house and walked to 5th and Chestnut, where he fell upon the pavement in front of St. James' Lutheran Church. Here he was found by a young man who notified the police station. Sergeants Mayer and Heckman hurried to the place and found Mr. Kissinger in a dying condition. Medical aid was
called, but Mr. Kissinger died in a few minutes of neuralgia of the heart. Mr. Kissinger was born in Bern township. near Bushong's paper mill, but had resided in this city for a number of years. He was a wealthy retired farmed, 74 years of age, and was interested in the market house on Penn st. above 8th, and other property. He was a life-long member of the Lutheran congregation of Kissinger's church in later years. His wife and 3 daughters, Mrs. Henry Bohn, of Bern township; Mrs. Dautrick Clark and Mrs. George B.
