After giving it his all Grant succumbed to cancer on Monday, August 22, 2022 in the comfort of his home surrounded by love.
He leaves behind his wife Nancy Louise whom he married in 1967, his children Jeff and wife Carrie, Julie and husband Lynn Zehr and Greg and partner Kriss Eady. He will be missed by his grandchildren Madeleine and Naomi Jutzi, Blake Zehr, Matthew Rathbone and Jacob and Emma Jutzi. Remembered fondly by siblings Nelda and Ray Brenneman, Ken and Joan Jutzi, Mark andKaren Jutzi, John and Juanita Jutzi; in-laws of Irene Jutzi, Bill Jantzi, Ron and Laura Schmitt and Art and Debbie Hymers.
Grant was predeceased by his parents Rudy and Irene Jutzi, in-laws Frank and Grace Hymers, by his brother Robert Jutzi and sisters Elaine and husband Walter Fretz, Lucille Jantzi and and brother-in-law Ernie Hymers.
In 1972 Grant fulfilled a lifelong dream of starting his own business - Grant Transport and with hard work and determination Grant and his family operated the trucking company for 45 years.
A very heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses in Oncology and Palliative Care, the compassion you showed Grant throughout his cancer journey was second to none.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. New Hamburg on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from Living Water Community Christian Fellowship, 45 Hincks St. New Hamburg on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place prior to the service at 9:45 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations to MennoHomes, Mennonite Central Committee or to Grand River Regional Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
