Barbara Jean Huff, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away August 19, 2022. She was born April 13, 1926 in Knoxville, Illinois to the late Harold L. and Merle A. Thurman Roe.

Barbara was a graduate of Knoxville High School and attended Indiana Central of Indianapolis. She was a minister's wife as well as a State Representative's wife when she was married to Dan Huff. Barbara attended Linwood Christian Church, University Park Christian Church and Downey Avenue Christian Church, all of which are Disciples of Christ.

A fashionable lady, she loved hats and jewelry and enjoyed decorating. She also loved antiques, having a shop of her own, "Collections by BJ", as well as booths in several antique malls. She never saw a yard sale she didn't like. She did her own yard sales so well that people would hire her to do yard and estate sales. She organized the food pantry for Downey Avenue Church.

As a trusted employee, she was sent out of state to get apartment complexes up and running. She lived on property in St. Louis and Florida.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a true friend to all.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Suesie Hardy of Conroe, TX; son, D. Mark Huff of Indianapolis; three granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dale Hardy; and two brothers, Harold Roe and Billie Roe.

Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Knoxville, Illinois at a later date.
